In 1995, Nela Corcau stepped off a plane in the United States with a dream, a suitcase, and not a single word of English. She had left Romania at age 25, trading the familiar for the unknown — driven by the belief that hard work and determination could build a life anywhere.

Her first years in America were spent in Vermont, working as a housekeeper at Sheraton Hotels — scrubbing bathrooms and wiping floors, doing whatever it took to build a foundation. While she worked, she was also quietly doing something else: teaching herself English, one word at a time. No classes, no shortcuts — just patience, persistence, and an extraordinary will to belong.

That same spirit carried her into real estate. Nela earned her Illinois real estate license and discovered a passion for connecting people with the places they call home. She didn't stop there. She went on to earn her Managing Broker license — one of the highest credentials in the industry — and founded her own brokerage, a milestone she counts among her greatest achievements.

Always driven by a natural curiosity for how different markets operate, Nela pursued her Florida real estate license concurrently while studying for her Managing Broker designation. She recognized early on that the Florida luxury market moves at a fundamentally different pace than the traditional price market — faster decisions, higher stakes, and a clientele that expects seamless execution. That insight, earned through study and instinct, is what allows her to serve clients across two of the country's most dynamic real estate landscapes.

Today, with over 50 closed transactions across Chicagoland — from first-time condos to luxury estates — Nela brings every ounce of that journey to her clients.
